First one is the fourth book in my Perfect Pairings series, Matters of the Heart

Just in Time for Halloween-Fly by Night

I am Jane Five years ago I was honored to have a short story included in Just Vamps an anthology published by Evernight Publishing. As the names suggests, all the stories were about vampires.

I just got rights back to this story and in time for Halloween, I’ve revamped it (yes please excuse the pun), and added another chapter.

I’ve kept the title, Fly by Night and it’s a sexy tale set during the Regency featuring innocent Isabella and the man of the night, James who offers her so much more than a evening of erotic delight.

Cowbear Haven-Book One

cold_stream_ebook_cover You all know I love writing about both cowboys and bear shifters. Sometimes I have a tough time deciding who to make the hero of a new story…a sexy cowboy or a hunky bear. It’s that dilemma that gave me the idea for this new series…why not write about a cowboy who just so happens to me a bear shifter too.

Cowbear Haven was born and I’ve just released the first book called Sweet Seduction.

Once again, I’ve decided to publish it through KDP Select so Amazon is the place you’ll find it for at least the next three months. Added plus is if you’re a Kindle Unlimited subscriber you get to read it for free.

Here’s an excerpt and the synopsis and I hope you enjoy reading this story as much as I did writing it….

Synopisis

Joely’s set her heart on going to art school and has been working to pay for her tuition. However, her boss has been keeping a secret and now she has to find somewhere to hide out.

What better place than Cowbear Haven where no human dares to go? It just so happens that they’re in dire need of a cook. Not that she’s ever been one, but fake it till you make it.

Trey’s relieved that he’s finally found a new cook, that is until she arrives and he realizes he’s got two big problems on his hand. She’s young and pretty and she’s clearly no more of a cook than he is.

He’s got a don’t mess around with the staff policy but can this cowbear keep his mind and hands off the new cook or is does he have to accept that Joely’s his destiny and mate?

Come along with Joely and Trey to Cowbear Haven, a ranch where bears can heal and work and sometimes fall in love.

Excerpt-

“What needs doing?” she asked.

“How about make the toast and get the bacon out of the fridge,” said Trey.

He watched as she ran about, put a load of bread into the five toasters, and then got the boxes of bacon out and handed them to Mikey. The cold air from the fridge had made her nipples hard and the t-shirt was transparent. He didn’t know how the guys would react when they saw her. He knew how he was reacting.

“I think you should put an apron on,” Trey told her.

He looked straight at her boobs and couldn’t seem to focus any place else. Trey grabbed the apron and handed it to her. “We don’t want you getting that t-shirt messed up,” Trey quickly added.

I also don’t want other werebears ogling those breasts and nipples.

She grinned at him as she tied it around her waist. He guessed he wasn’t that great at lying.

“I’ll go tell the guys to get seated and breakfast will be served shortly,” Trey said.

He wanted to calm everyone down before a riot broke out and he also needed to get out of the kitchen. His temperature was rising and it had nothing to do with the oven and burners being turned on at full blast.

She made him hot and horny and normally that wouldn’t be a bad thing but she worked for him and Cowbear Haven, and this was downright inappropriate.

“Is breakfast nearly ready because we have fences to repair in the outer pasture,” David called to him.

“It’s on its way,” Trey assured him.

“So she hadn’t quit,” Ian asked. He sat down beside Trey. Ian was second in command and in charge when Trey was gone from the Haven.

“No, she’d just overslept.”

“She seems very young to be head cook.”

“She’s packed lots of experience into her short life.”

“You smell something burning?” Ian asked, putting his nose into the air.

The piercing sound of the smoke alarm sounded throughout the lower level of the house.

“I better go check on the kitchen,” Trey said, standing.

“And the cook too,” Ian said, winking at him.

Ghost of a Chance

I’m slowly revamping books I’ve recently gotten rights back to and I’m almost caught up…for now at least. Here’s my latest one. It was previously published by Cobblestone Press under the title of Ghost Lover.

I’ve now changed the narration to present tense, re-edited it and given it the new title of Ghost of A Chance. If you haven’t read it already, I hope you’ll check it out.

Here’s the synopsis and a short excerpt-

Dr. Jennifer Hartley overhears talk about a ghost haunting room 229 at Rosewood Inn in a village in England. Not just any haunting but that of a sexual nature. Intrigued, she decides to book a visit there and it’s in room 229, she gets more than she bargained for. It’s not one but three ghosts that haunt the room. All three men are the perfect lover for her but it’s one in particular who captures her heart.

Does she have a ghost of a chance of them ever becoming permanent lovers?

I lean my head back in the taxi. Jet lag has already kicked in. I tried to sleep on the flight to London, but crying babies and people wandering up and down the aisles had made it impossible. Now my eyes are gradually shutting as I head through a village on the outskirts of Maidstone, Kent. Will Henry, Ian, or maybe Nigel be waiting for me? I hope so. I’ve come this far, paid all this money, so I’m determined to have the sexual adventure of my life. I shift my ass on the seat, already feeling a pleasant stirring in my pussy. Will I get fucked in the shower? I’ve been looking forward to it on the entire flight. I set my head back some more, determined just to rest my eyes and not fall asleep.

“Miss…miss…”

I wake and sit up so quickly that my neck pops. We’ve obviously arrived because the taxi driver has opened the back door and is shaking my arm.

“I’m sorry I must have dozed off,” I say.

“Don’t worry. Happens more often than you’d think.”

I look out, seeing the Tudor beams and white brick front with the four-star sign hanging outside of the Rosewood Lodge.

I dig through my bag, pull out some bills and a tip, and hand them to the driver.

“Thank you. I’ll get your bags out of the boot for you.” I smile, remembering boot is the trunk.

A doorman from the hotel nods and comes over to carry my luggage for me. As I go into reception, I notice they have two restaurants. Not that I’ll be leaving my room for long.

“Good morning. Do you have a reservation?” asks a young girl dressed in a blue jacket and matching skirt.

“Yes, Dr. Jennifer Hartley.”

She taps at the computer keys. “I did request room 229,” I add.

I see her glance and raise her eyebrows at the lady standing next to her. They both smile.

“Yes, most women do,” she says.

A Bear’s Seduction-Forbidden Shifters-Book Two

After taking a month’s break from publishing, I’m kicking off the fall reading season with the release of the second book in my Forbidden Shifters series. This one’s called A Bear’s Seduction and it’s on sale now at all of your favorite book sites. I’ve reduced the price of the first book, The Bear Next Door, to 99 cents if anyone wants to pick up a copy. While there is a common theme to the series, each book is a stand alone read with no cliffhangers so you don’t need to read book one before this new release.

Welcome to Bay Harbor Springs, one of the first towns in Benningan County to experiment with the idea that their bear shifter population and non-shifter residents should finally be allowed to date, have sex, and possibly mate.

Before legislation passed, all shifters were known as forbidden and any shifter found to have anything but a platonic or business relationship with their non-shifter counterpart, would be forced to wear a radio tracker, be fined, sometimes jailed, and repeat offenders were banished from Benningan County for ten years.

The non-shifter female residents sometimes found this rule the hardest to abide by because everyone knows that a bear shifter is downright hunkalicious.

Many women found themselves unable to resist these sexy werebears and many of the bad boys paid the price by handing over huge fines for a short kiss while others spent time behind bars for a quick rendezvous in the backseat of a parked car.

The Non-Shifter Alliance (all male) has decided that each month a limited number of permits will need to be issued before any sexual activity can commence and it’s on a purely first come first served basis.

As you can imagine, a record number were applied for just minutes after the ban was officially abolished and sexual encounters with the Forbidden Shifters began soon after.

Today (June 2nd) sees the launch of my new shifter series titled Forbidden Shifters. These shifters are all bears and the stories are more erotic in tone, well, even more toward erotica. If you like smoking hot shifter stories I hope you’ll love this new series.

Bear of Interest-Kalispell Shifters
